NEXT TO OUR PRODUCERS
In GRUPO IREN we work side by side with our producers in Dominican Republic and Ecuador. We have a closed list of reliable producers, some of them partners in origin, which has been forged after many years of collaboration and continuous trips to the production areas where we supervise all the steps of the process.
THE KEY: CARE FOR THE HUMAN FACTOR
This care for the human factor is also transferred to the production model. Equipped with the technical and financial assistance necessary for an optimal and healthy production, the farms working with GRUPO IREN are based on sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture. Under this awareness of cooperation and optimization, it has been possible to increase the quantity and quality of production up to an annual volume of approximately 50,000 tons.
FAIR TRADE
From the beginning, it has been clear to us that the economic benefits of the GRUPO IREN must have an impact on improving the quality of life in the communities where our plantations are located. As a result of this, we currently work between 60% and 70% of our products with the fair trade model. At the same time, the working conditions of all participants in the process are guaranteed and, finally, part of the value of the fruit is reinvested in solidarity projects such as Dando Frutos and We Are Femme.
